Neem oil works really well for me. I had some mites on my hibiscus this winter and it took care of them in no time.

By accident, we happen to have some Persil Laundry Detergent in a bowl on the counter. The little flies (we call them fruit flies-but that's not scientific). We were shocked to see the flies diving in and dying in the Persil! I had set traps with vinegar and such with a covering with toothpick holes and the whole 9 yards. Had no luck with those traps, but danged if the Persil didn't work with no effort!!!

Must them with a solution of water, white vinegar, and mint essential oil.

Diatomaceous earth is wonderful too. All natural, no chemicals (no smell either) but use with caution if you have birds or any type of respiratory illness

Take them outside and spray with a soap/ water mixture. Usually takes care of them.
