I am having the same problem! I haven't found anything that works so far. I have tried moth balls, plastic forks, chicken wire on the ground, water sprayer and more! I have been thinking about taking some dog poop over to the neighbors with the cat and telling them I brought it for their dinner table since they seem to think its okay for their cat to do its business in my veggie garden that we eat the veggies from!

I read an article that stated cats HATE vinegar. So they recommended spraying the garden with distilled vinegar to keep cats away. Of course, you would have to spray after it rains. I would start with just spraying the soil so there wouldn't be any danger of injuring the plants.. Hope it works!

You can use vinegar to kill weeds so I wouldn't trust using it on a garden. Once it is in the soil nothing will grow there until it is out of the soil.
