Using wood for an accent wall...

I have all these old, weathered, fence slats that I want to use as an accent wall in the powder room. Do you know if using them naked is okay? Also, do I need to spray them with bug killer before I used them? Or, is there a really good stain that will keep them looking beachy but classy?

I would at least coat them with a polyurethane to protect yourself from chemicals leaching out. Bug Killer wouldn't hurt but I would not have thought of that unless I see evidence of bug infestation. Polyurethane will also keep them the color they are now. It is available in different sheens depending on the look you want.
I'd sand em n get a clear or natural stain with waterproof in it or get a waterproof top coat

I have used this product on almost all of my pallet wood projects and I LOVE the effect. personally, I would avoid spraying insect chemicals on wood that was to be used in an indoor application. Love to see what you do with the slats
I can also test some polys, but no-go on the naked, I guess. Thanks, ladies!
