Is it too big or small for space!?

Hanging a door seems easy but I have found it best to call my handyman. He knows exactly how to tweak the hinges to get the door to hang properly.

Anytime a relationship can be saved by calling a handyman, it's worth it.

Can you try sanding it on both or all sides? Your saying it comes in it own frame ya!? Or maybey skim a radial saw along then sand it you need !?

Is it just a door or door with frame? Did you measure the opening before buying the door?

Just a door. My partner thought it would be straightforward to take out the old door and put in the new one but it isn't. It wont close, it won't hang properly and seems to be too big, even though it was measured.

You can buy door blanks and trim them to fit. Get a jig or template for cutting the holes for the door knob and hinge placement

If it's only a little tight fit you can plane/sand the edges to fit. Did it come with mortises for the hinges or did you have to cut your own? Motrises need to be in the proper position for the hinges or it won't hang right.

    Hello,

This is an art! Call in a carpenter used to fitting doors to do it for you. It won't take them long and it is really worth the cost to get a good job done!
