Spiders go where the food is for them to survive. It means wherever their webs are they are having luck capturing bugs to eat. The same goes if you find webs in your plants from spiders, they are eating mites or something on that plant. I had one make a web on a hibiscus that had a few mites on it. Next day, no more spider and no mites to be seen either.
I have tried several things and nothing works. Don't want harsh chemicals, but hate how spiders and bugs are all in our wooden table and chairs, under sofa and too....
