Would it be advisable to build a small patio arbor with planter boxes?
I have a small concrete patio in front of my garage and would like some shade. So I was hoping I could use 2 decorative planters for the 2 end post across from the garage, and attach the one side to the garage.

Sounds like a great idea to me and can be styled very nicely. Depending on the location and exposure, climbing roses, jasmine, morning glories, grapes would all be fun to plant.
