Tin Heart Bunting

This tin heart bunting is super easy to make. You see, the tin is actually vinyl! I had a few scraps left over from my kitchen backsplash project last month. The vinyl panels are from DIY Decor Store and are plastic manufactured to look like tin. They are meant to be used for a backsplash, but I easily cut my scrap pieces with scissors into heart shapes to make this tin heart bunting. This is a great project for Valentine's Day and it would look nice hung above a mantle or over a headboard.
The picture above is what the full vinyl panel looks like. With one panel you could cut out about 9 hearts.
I cut a simple heart template from paper and taped it to the vinyl. Then I cut around it with regular craft scissors. The heart is approximately 6 inches in diameter.
Next, I made a hole in each side with a hole punch. The hole punch works easily with the vinyl plastic.
Then I strung the hearts from yarn. I used regular blue cotton yarn.
I used clear thumbtacks to attach it to the wall
This little bunting banner is hung up in my craft room right now. I love how it turned out.
