This Rustic DIY Potting Bench was created from an old farmhouse table and a shoe rack… Follow along as I share tips and tricks of how I did it, so you can devise your very own, for your home!
I’m not sure whether I enjoy digging in the dirt more for planting flowers, or for hunting for antique bottles… Both get my hands dirty, and both are relaxing! This rustic DIY potting bench really brings together the best of both worlds!

I simply used an old farmhouse entry-way table that I had refinished last summer, but couldn’t quite find the right place for in my home… and an old shoe rack!
I actually think that I have used this rack in almost every single room in our home for lots of different purposes… Shoes, plants, toys and even as a side table! Now it gets to function as a really fun and pretty potting bench!
I used some really fun accessories to decorate my potting bench, and help give it a rustic feel, almost like something out of a dreamy fairy-tale.

I added in some pots, buckets and baskets to help build up the rustic character of my new potting bench... Plus a few accessories from the dollar store. Here is how it turned out in the end. Pretty and functional! Not bad for an old table and a shoe rack, right?! ;)
