I am looking for some idea's for cheap xmas gifts i can't afford a lot

love your little fairy garden! if you helped or made this for her - small dishes at second hand stores / Salvation Army, Goodwill, Re-Store (Habitat for Humanity stores) or yard sales on a Saturday morning can produce LOTS of pretty choices -- These little gardens are popular with children AND adults!! you could make them for all your friends -- and they would all be different!! for the 'greenery' you can use artificial mixed with a sprig of a live plant too!

estate sales on Sunday 1/2 price day are good, there is the 1.00 stores and thrift shops, thats how I did adults and kids. You could try asking friends if they have things they don't want and do an exchange party. You can knit slippers if you know how.

Can you knit or crochet? Practical handmade gifts such as crochet dishcloths or knitted lap throws or scarves are gifts that most people can always use.

if you can find a wreath form at a dollar store, you can make a christmas wreath out of just about anything. Check pinterest for ideas. But I also like cutting a circle out of cardboard making a flat wreath. Cut out the centre leaving a 2 inch wide wreath form. Wrap the form in burlap which you also get at the dollar store. Then decorate with anything you can find.

Hi! I'm not sure if you are a gardener but I save the seeds from my flower garden and package them in decorated envelopes and put them in Christmas cards for a small gift. I also have made seed bombs and seed paper as gifts too.

There are lots of things that you can make for gifts... Pinterest.com will have some ideas....

One of the things I do is a "cinnamon pull apart" using the frozen rolls or bread.... thaw out and cut into 1 inch pieces (cut rolls into 1/4 ths) toss in a mixture of cinnamon, white granulated sugar, and brown sugar...

spray a loaf pan or muffin/cupcake tins with a cooking spray like Pam... loosely cover with cling wrap and let raise (about double in size)

Bake at 350 degrees for about 15-20 minutes for muffin/cupcake sizes and up to 30 minutes for loaves (standard loaf pan) Let cool and glaze

Glaze: 2 cups powdered sugar and about 1/4 cup of milk or orange juice... you want it thin enough to "drizzle" off of a spoon or from a measuring cup... sprinkle on sliced almonds, raisins, diced dried fruit etc... as you prefer.. (that way picky eaters can take it off... if they want too)

Place in a tin or basket lined with waxed paper.... wrap in colorful cellophane and add a bow.... and "gift" on Christmas morning.

Take pictures of special events and print them for picture frames.

I do a lot of altered bottles (bottles are free), decoupage with my recipe for "MomPodge, Mother of Gesso and Modeling Paste" (really cheap to make), use colorful napkins, tissue paper, junk jewelry, a little lace, some twine and your gifts can be made for less than $2 but looks great. My daughter and I are taking old candles and melting them, and then pouring them into decorative silicone molds to make melts that are used in warmers. We are using the glass jars for presentation or cellophane bags.

Inventory your house and see what treasures you can find. Even a simple glass vase will be a treasure if you paint it a clear blue and seal it with polyurethane. A wicker basket with ribbon or twine glued around the top changes the look and value. Best wishes ☺️
