How To Use Doorknobs For Door Pulls

I have a bunch of old doorknobs that I would like to use in my bathroom. Specifically as knobs on the cabinet doors. However the doorknobs have large square hardware coming out of the back to put in big old doors. How do I modify the knobs so they can be used for decor.

I have a real concern that these could be knee breakers To say nothing of the fact that the “balance” might not work on thin doors. The knobs would fall off With constant pulling.
Youll find smaller escutcheons in the drawer hardware department, or just drill holes through those you have.
Consider, instead, making towel and robe racks With the larger knobs.
You may be able to jam and glue a piece of slightly tapered dowel into the square hole. Once cured cut off the dowel and screw into place from inside door or drawer.
OK, that sounds like it would/wood work LOL.
