Any suggestions on giving a “fresh” look to my home ?

All the houses on my street are variations of red brick. How do I change the look to lighten the brick ?

You can whitewash random bricks. You will have a red/white brick finish that will blend into the neighborhood, yet have texture and character on your house that gives it attention. If you paint the entire brick, you will pretty much be stuck with it if you don't like it or change your mind.
HGTV shows like Fixer Upper have done exactly this to home exteriors and the results are fantastic. Check online for renovations/changing brick color and many other variations before you decide. The possibilities are endless.
