Stain or not to stain on a new wood deck?

Last Summer we had a new wood deck put into our home. Should we stain the deck this year, or should we let it go natural and put nothing on it? Any advice?

Hi Wanda, You need to protect your deck by either painting, staining, or applying a clear sealer. The wood won't last very long if you don't protect it from the weather. Best of luck to you.
I am certain you used treated lumber, so it is a matter of taste. Go to a paint store and look at sample stains.
Absolutely protect your with some kind of product like Deckover. There are others, too.
