My galley kitchen is appx 10’ x 6’. I have stainless appliances and light brown & beige countertops. Should I paint the cabinets & walls the same color? The walls are mostly hidden with fridge & cabinets.
Thanks.

Hi Sharonj97, If you paint the cabinets and walls the same color, it think it would make your galley kitchen seem even smaller. If you want your kitchen to seem bigger, use light colors and mirrors. Best of luck to you.

I too think the wall should be real light in color. It will make the appliances and cupboards stand out more. I have a galley kitchen, but a bit longer than that and the walls and cupboards are all white and it makes it look bigger. My appliances are also stainless. The window and door frames are all darkish stained and I have woodgrain counter tops a bit lighter than the woodwork. It all seems to go together really well for some reason that I don't understand.

My kitchen is 12' long but only 7'wide from wall to wall, that means there is less than 3 feet of floor space for most of the kitchen (a/c appliances/counters) all the walls and woodwork are white, the floor is pale (I'm about to paint it white) refrig white, dw/stove white. Lots of colorful things and inside cupboards painted green.
