What do I put around a raised veg garden to keep away squirrels

I've tried different things to keep squirrels out of my tomato plants in my raised garden but have had no success. What can I use so it will be easy for me to get into but can keep those cute little varmints out?

  • We have the same issue, and I've found that draping wildlife netting over the plants, and securing with landscape pins works well for us. Hope this helps!

What works well in my flowers pots it a mixtur of leftover coffee grounds mixed with red pepper flakes it doesn’t hurt plants and you just leave it on the dirt surface I always add pepper while the coffee grounds are still warm. I heard pet hair around the area too

I did mothballs bombs. Square tinfoil, 4-6 mothballs in the middle and lightly tent over and around the mothballs. I put the every 10-15 feet around the perimeter. It kept the squirrels and the neighbors cat out of my garden. I replaced them 2- 3 times over the summer. I told the kids in the neighborhood what they were and to not touch, no problems. Super easy and cheap. I was about to go all out and buy a motion detector sprinkler system if the mothball bombs did not work.

    Good luck!!!
