How high should a raised gardent be to keep out animals?

Pound 2' pieces of 1/2 in rebar 18" in the ground and slip 2' sections of 3/4 PVC over the rebar for posts. String chicken wire and ziptie to PVC.

I doubt you can make it high enough, Plan some sort of cover. I made some out of wood and chicken wire. I have also covered with bird net over a frame. And then what size animal,. I am working with gophers (richardson's ground squirrels) and rabbits.
