RV closed for 5 months. Stored outdoors. No apparent water leaks. Plenty of interior wood so smell can be absorbed. Can it be ‘unabsorbed’. Thanks

Carol - thanks for response. You and someone else mentioned Oda Ban Probably from US? I can't seem to find it on Google either Ad talks about personal deodorants. ??

  • Charcoal, newspaper, baking soda, coffee grounds all work. Wipe down everything with vinegar that is safe to do so. When storing, think about leaving a box of baking soda in the fridge and freezer and a bowl of charcoal out on the table and see if it helps. We use ours year round, but still locked up most of the time and the charcoal and baking soda have helped us.

My go-to product for odors is OdoBan, available at home depot. Buy it by the gallon, mix with water, a gallon lasts a long time. Spray all surfaces and allow to dry and your odor issues, along with germs, should disappear.

The musty smell is usually absorbed by the fabrics. I would remove all fabrics, curtains, cushions, rugs and put them outside in the sun to freshen them up. Then put everything back in and and use an ozone machine. Run on high for an hour or two then leave it closed up until the next day. Air it out thoroughly. This will actually DESTROY the mustiness instead of trying to just clean it.

I have an Oion, but for your purpose I would really recommend a commercial rental unit. In that case, brand won't matter
