I recently moved into a new house and I'm looking for ideas to set up and to organize my two car garage. I plan on doing some simple woodworking and furniture refinishing projects. I also do a lot of gardening. I'm seeking guidance on what may be the best basic hand and power tools, cabinets, work benches, shelving and stuff needed to get me started.

Peg boards and hooks are great for storing and organizing tools. You can make your own work bench. Check out the tutorials on YouTube for that. If you store garden tools in sand, they will never rust. Best of luck to you.

Start with hanging peg boards, you can hang any tool on the board, as long as it's not heavy. You can hang the peg boards by screwing into the cement. You'll need a Hilti Gun, this is used to screw into cement. Rent one from Home Depot or Lowe's. They rent by 1/2 day or 24 hours. If you take it at 10 am, bring it back 10 am the next day. Buy a tool cabinet, that has wheels, so you can move it where you need to.
