    Maybe one of those picture trees in gold/silver that you can add small hanging crystals to. Add pictures of the honored guest celebrating their life. It gives party guests a glimpse into a full life, while giving the honored guest stories to share.

    Depends what the birthday person is into. If it is flowers Dfm above had a good suggestion. If grandkids are what they enjoy on a vase apply photos of the kids on it. If cats are their things small statues of cats chasing each other. Etc.

    Oh, gosh the suggestions can be endless. Depends on if it is seated or buffet style. You can use natural items like seashells, flowers, food, usually candles, special occasions the centerpiece should reflect the event. I almost always use a tablecloth. For me to do the table is one of the most enjoyable jobs of having people for a meal.
