What can I use that is very thin to fill in coffee table top?

I have a dark wood coffee table - the top is “framed” by only a slightly raised finished edge. Tile would be too thick unless there is something tile-like. I had spilled pure acetone on the top so i’d LOVE a solution but it must stand up to wear. Is there a super thin tile out there? HELP!!!

Something like a epoxy or rosin that is self leveling.

Hi Patty, Take a walk thru the flooring department at your local home improvement store. I think you can find what you're looking for there. Best of luck to you.

i would never have thought of this! I think I’ll be wandering the stores this weekend! I’ll definitely post before & after pics! Every single one is a great idea! I think it’s going to depend on what I can find in the stores! Kind of a small town. THANK YOU ALL FOR SOME TERRIFIC IDEAS!

glass tiles are usually thinner, you can also do hammered copper, brushed aluminum, leather, get a piece of glass and do a mercury glass treatment on the back.

How about a piece of glass or mirror cut to size of the table top? Or do a Unicorn Spit technique on the top of the damaged top,?

How about self stick vinyl tile or vinyl planks. Look like stone or wood. Easy to cut and install. And they are thin.

Paint is also an option and fairly easy to do. You could stencil it or distress it or one of a gazillion different paint treatments that match your taste. One I like is a solid paint color with a decoupaged table top.
