Do you want a modern design, something featuring natural, something that relflects your interests (trains, dogs, flowers, etc.)?
Have you tried Tatouage?. It looks like paint. You rub your hand over, and you can not feel it. You can paint right over it. You rub it on, and it absorbs into the wall. It is not a sticker. I have it several places, and people always ask if I did it. If you can draw, look through magazines for ideas. Or if you mean the type of suface, do something like mountains that will look natural on its texture.
