Remove any water collecting items, or dump them out after every rain. If you have rain barrels, the screens need to be skeeter proof. If you have water standing in your yard, and it’s not able to drain, mosquito bits, a citronella based granular product is available. If you can’t screen the water barrel, mosquito dunks..shaped like a doughnut can be used, they float on top of the water realesing citronella oil. They will not harm fish if you have a pond or fountain in your yard.

Just don't go with mint. People say it works,well even if I did,which it doesnt, it's invasive.
