Where I live, you pay a tire disposal fee when you change your tires. Or if you change your own, our trash service has a recycling program and about every 3 months they have "clean up" days where you can put anything out (except toxic waste - they have special days for that too), and it is collected and recycled for free. Check your refuse service and see what they offer. Or Google or flip through the yellow pages to check for tire recycling. Or you can repurpose and turn into planters?
