My Peonies

Julie Rainwater
by Julie Rainwater
Each of these peonies are in different flowerbeds that I have. I got them from my grandmother"s house in the early nineties. She had a passion for flowers, as well as my other grandmother. She wanted me to have some of these because they were one of her and my dad's favorite flower. My dad also loved tiger lilies and she gave me some of those, along with several others. I moved 11 years ago, and since then, I have moved the peonies a few times trying to find the perfect spot for them. This is the first year since I have moved here that they have looked as good as they do.

  • I agree Douglas! I love Peonies. You have to be careful not to plant them too deep or they won't bloom.

Yes Douglas, I am very lucky to have all the flowers that she gave me. She was a special lady and both of my grandmothers are the reason that I have such a passion for flowers. Susan, I had no clue that planting them to deep would cause them not to bloom. Thank you for sharing that with me.
