Why won't my magnolia tree fully bloom.

every year my magnolia shows its white blossoms in early May. But by the end of May there is hardly any blossoms left. The tree is about 15 years old. I live in a northeast climate-Maine.

Could be the variety of magnolia, not all are continuous bloomers. Could be location. See if these sites help!

I am in Zone 9 and mine only blooms in spring, then done for the season.
