Can I get a general how-to build a closet?

I have the perfect niche in the wall to add a double closet, but I don’t know how to frame it in! I can do the sheet rock and finish work. Just getting started so it will stay standing, I have never done that part! Thanks!

I will assume that since you say you have a niche, that means you have two walls. You need to make two more, one with a door. Frame the wall(s) in with studs, 16" on center and with cross pieces on the ceiling and the floor. For the door, frame that it with a header and two studs. When this is done add the sheet rock, molding for the door, with woodwork around the doorway, hang the door, paint all, then add the shelves, rods or whatever you need and want for the closet. I bet there is a you tube video on how to do this.
