Is it possible to DIY an in ground pool?

    Sure it's possible but if you don't have the skill set needed for this then you might end up with an out of square pool, unlevel pool, leaking pool and the list goes on

    You bet! There are pool liners that can be used instead of concrete. Have the hole sub-contracted out then add your liner and pumps. Good luck!

    It depends how large. A kiddy pool - maybe, for a large diving pool - you need to get a tractor, and where would you put the dirt?..and you still need to be able to run the electrical for a filter. Can you do that?

    They sell DIY pool kits, see video below. Just don't try and put an above ground pool in the ground. A friend bought a house with that situation, and it ended up costing more than starting from scratch.

    They used to sell pools that you put in the ground with a crane. I don't know if they still exist. I think they were made of fibreglass.
