I have the same problem. Used bleach before, what is not good for me, I am allergy to bleach, plus it harms the environment. Friend advised pure vinegar, you do have to brush, it works perfect!! Leave the vinegar, the sun will help killing the black mold and green moss, plus make the cement pretty light colored again. I do this once a year, after the winter
You can use baking soda + water, or even bleach to help you along. If you choose bleach be careful that it doesn't get on plants around your patio. Does your sprayer have an adjustable spray pattern? It looks like it's only a pretty solid stream of water. Check if it is adjustable and try changing the spray pattern if you can. Click on the link below for more about cleaning concrete. Wishing you the best.
Use a surface cleaner with the power washer. You can google it, but it is a round disk that has two heads under it And spins from the water pressure. You need a good pressure washer to run it. I know they make them from 12” ur to 24” and they may come even bigger. I have a 18” from DeWalt that makes the cleaning time at least 30 times faster then the 1” you get from the regular gun. It is also not as messy as just spraying it. My black patio (1500sf) around a swimming pool looks brand new, without all the lines you usually see. I also did not use any cleaners just the water pressure.
