The first thing I did when looking at the tangle of lids and bowls was to go through them and match them up, once that was done I made a decision on how many and of what size I actually needed and used. The rest were recycled or donated. Now you are down to reality!

This is for the larger bowls-like mixing bowls:

In an area of the cupboard, lids are on the bottom from large to smaller with the bowls in the same order.

For cereal or smaller size bowls, stack the same size with the correct lid underneath the stack.

    Happy organizing!

I like having mine all in a drawer. I do not have drawers, so I got a cardboard box that fit my lower cupboard. And then I try my best to only keep what fits in that box. My cupboard's are deep, so the box measures 22" X 17" and 10" high. I have this work well for my dish cloths and dish towels and another one for baking items, however I purchased plastic drawers for those items. the cardboard box you may need to cut a "handle" out.

Thank you. I have the same situation. I keep my Tupperware/plastics in a drawer and have tried keeping the lids together separately. However it seems since they are such different sizes it doesn’t always work. I will have to look for a larger box or container like you. Thanks again.

Do Tupperware lids still have that "Keyhole" tab on them? If so, there is an organizer at Tupperware that you hang on the wall to hang lids on using that tab.

You're welcome. Another example of 'an oldie but a goodie'.

Match up all of the containers first. Then use a Sharpie and put a letter or number on the bottom of each and the same letter on its top. Store the lids separately from the containers.

Look for an office piece which is used to hold files. They have dividers which would hold them. These are often at thrift stores as people move away from paper files to digital.
