Pool built on sand mound!

Here is my crazy dilemma! We bought a home with an inground pool built on enormous mound of sand that was trucked in due to the area underneath it being shale! These folks wanted a pool in the worst way! My issue is that that deck around it is made of concrete pavers that were just fitted into the sand. We of course get tons of sand in the pool! We were thinking of covering this area with astroturf but are open to any and all inexpensive ideas! HELP!!!!!

Just use cement to make it a sold surface. If the pool ain't crackin' then a solid surface walk area won't either. Enjoy!

Not doable as the cement pavers shift a little with the walking on them! But thank you!

Take a look at polymerized sand. It is designed to do what your loose sand is doing-fill in between pavers. The big advantage is that after you sweep the polymerized sand in between the pavers, you lightly spray it with water. It sets up like grout. You probably want to sweep the loose sand out as much as possible first. Got a wet/dry shop vac or a good friend to lend you one? This might be the cheaper solution.
