My wife and I were getting tired of always losing my daughter's bows and not having a good place to put them. Sticking them all in a drawer and then rummaging through it to find the one we wanted was also annoying. We wanted to make something to hang on the wall in her room that could hold all of her bows and spruce up her room at the same time!
These are the supplies we got. The stars that we're going to hang on the wall and the ribbon that we will attach under the stars.
First, let's make the stars awesome with some spray paint.
Time to add some funkiness to them. We made a home-made circle stencil to make Polka Dots with contrasting color.
Polka Dots never hurt anybody!
We got long meter-long pieces of ribbon to cut in half to use for each star.
We cut a V into the bottom of the ribbon and used a flame to heat seal them to protect against fraying.
Then came the placing and the hot-gluing of the ribbons to the bottom of each star.
We hung it on the wall and...
...added the hair bows and...VOILA!
