natures miracle
there is a comeral product called natures miricale...it contains certain enzymes to break up the wee. Does a great job with cat “ accidents“ It’s about the worst pet smell I can think of.
I was told to sprinkle baking soda on carpet wait 30 minutes then vacuum . I haven't had that problem yet .good luck .
DFM is right, nature's miracle is good. If it doesn't work for you, try Odor Mute. You can order thru Amazon, or from their web site. It, too, is an enzyme product that comes in powder form to be mixed with warm water. I've had good results using it. You need to get it way down into the carpet pad, so be generous with it, but follow the instructions.
I agree with DFM and Theresa, works great. Cat vomit too.

Lift up the corners of the carpet and put crushed moth balls under the carpet. I just did the 4 corners. It worked.
If the smell does not come out, remove the carpet and install a paper bag floor, instructions found on Hometalk , or paint the cement until you get a floor installed & use washable scatter rugs. Best of luck to you.
