I personally find browsing the Houzz or Pinterest web sites to have some awesome visuals to consider in design and product ideas.

You might want to consider browsing over at these sites utilizing key word searches customized to your specific needs or interest. Theres so many choices, but your design aesthetic must be considered.

It really depends on what you want to do in the area..... do you need to have a ceiling fan in the den for air circulation (ALL our rooms have ceiling fans here in Phoenix... except the laundry and baths... necessary!)....if you do... pick out one you like better... and I recommend one with a remote control for convenience... if not... the sky is the limit... go shopping at a home improvement store or a specialty lighting store.... then shop Wayfair, Joss and Main, Amazon, etc.... you may find what you like cheaper.

Get those small airconditioners at Bed Bath and Beyond! Or put your fan under desk!

What's your budget and what about it don't you like? If cosmetic you can change out the blades they sell replacements heck you can paint them as well same with all metal components. If you just don't want a ceiling fan then I hope you have central air conditioning cause a window unit is a hassle. If it no longer works but you mean that you want to change it but don't know what style you want to put up there, then consider what your style is and how you can incorporate that through the changing out but remember that you don't want anything to trending because you will tire of it as a new trend comes along.

If you don't want a ceiling fan you can swap it for a light fixture.

What do you plan to use the room for? You could do a mason jar light fixture, chandelier or a different ceiling fan just what you want to use the room for will determine the style direction.

For the height of the ceiling a fan is a plus. Why not just paint it and change out the shades.

I find a lot of cool and original looking items on wayfair.com. I would hope to learn you have some air source in the room. I like the awesome lamps too.

I don't need fan, and was looking for new light. Just wanted to know what texture, or type of light for den.
