How do you make a rug stay on carpetting?

Several companies make rubberish underlays. Check that it’s for rug on carpet. And spend a bit more for quality. They also sell a tape that you put on all edges. I’ve not tried that.

I use my foot to rub and secure it on. You can find this in most stores in their carpeting section, its yellow and webbed looking..... so it can be removed without ruining either carpet.

I wouldn't use the tape as it leaves a residue. But there are definitely pads that help with that.

You can try placing a underlay mat under the oriental.

Ikea and other places sell a rubber underlayment that goes under the rub to help grip it.

That rubbery shelf liner stuff sold at most hardware stores (I've even seen it at Dollar Tree) might work just to hold it in place. I use that stuff to hold picture frames in place when I just lean them up against a wall on a shelf, or to hold books in a bookshelf without bookends. You could get some of that carpet tape and then tape the rubbery stuff to the rug. I've used that rubber carpet underlayment stuff before and found that it sometimes separates from the rug so you end up with a rug, a rubber mat thing, and carpet all shifted apart. I think as long as you use carpet tape to hold the rubbery stuff to the rug you should be okay.
