Floor? Blocks? Basement?
If you decide to put an outdoor rug over top be sure to put a sealer on the concrete first as it may deteriorate the concrete if the rug sits there too long. I have seen where the concrete starts to flake and come apart making a real mess. The rug tends to hold in the moisture and this is what causes the concrete to blister. Good luck with your project.
