Naomie Moore aka baileyanddaisey, Castaic CAon May 31, 2018Your delivery guys "should" do this for you. Another option is to call the gas company, typically they will come out for free. If you have to do yourself, here is how.https://www.familyhandyman.com/plumbing/how-to-install-a-gas-stove-without-dangerous-leaks/view-all/https://www.ahs.com/home-matters/repair-maintenance/how-to-replace-gas-stovehttps://youtu.be/mrz3O2lKgf4https://youtu.be/KsfsW2-qwWELast resort, call a plumber.HelpfulReply

Jan Loehron May 31, 2018This is a job for the professionals who will be delivering your new stove, not something for inexperienced homeowners to deal with...let them do this...HelpfulReply
- Janeon May 31, 2018Thank you, the gas company advised that they do not provide this service and the delivery company advised this was my responsibility so will coordinate with a plumber. Always something!HelpfulReply

Shortcakeon May 31, 2018Hi Jane, You do it from the back of the gas stove, but instead of me doing it The guy/s would do it if they are licensed, but I would call our plumber and let them know you need a Licensed guy to come out disconnect and come back after the guys deliver your new stove. I just feel a lot better when plumber comes out and I didn't get charged much.HelpfulReply
- Shortcakeon Jun 1, 2018I went through it and we have a pretty good plumber and like I said it didn't cost much. Good Luck.HelpfulReply
