Easy Recycled Jar 4th of July Luminaries and More!

I love using recycled jars for again for other projects. I came up with 2 very easy and inexpensive ways to use recycled jars for the 4th of July. Not only can they be used as luminaries, but I also have some other great uses that I'd love to share...

For the first of 2 projects I used recycled olive jars.

On the first jar I placed some window clings I got from Dollar Tree. So easy!

For the second jar I measured some red ribbon around the jar.

After measuring I cut one piece of ribbon and used that to measure to cut 3 more. I had a total of 4 ribbons.

I put Mod Podge on the jar.

I placed the ribbons evenly spaced around the jar and placed another coat of Mod Podge over the top to seal the ribbons into place.

I let them dry and here is what they looked like.

Now I can use them to hold silverware...

Or add some solar lights for luminaries...

Or add some LED lights in case I want them inside...

Or I can use them as a vases.

Okay - next jar project! I put Mod Podge on the jar and I placed a 4th of July napkin on top. (I had cut the napkin so it would be the right size for the jar.) I placed another coat of Mod Podge over the top of the napkin and let it dry.

I placed a "Uncle Sam" hat on top of the jar.

I also decided to add an LED light inside the jar.

I love the way it lights up!
