Since Mid-Century Modern has been trending these days, we wanted to build something in this style. While browsing through some furniture ideas on the internet we came across this simple side table from West Elm. It was the perfect project to try out the mid-century modern look.
Dimensions
Cut List.
Drill pocket holes in sides and back as shown.
Set table saw blade to 1/4" height. Then cut 1/4" wide groove in all four sides to accept drawer bottom.
Install drawer slides such that drawer box is flush with the front face of sides.
Install 8" table legs as desired. I recommend a purchased leg as the best option here.
Suggested materials:
  • 7/32 x 24 x 48″ Underlayment
  • 3/16″ and 1/4″ thick will work fine as well
  • 3/4 x 24 x 48″ Plywood (Paint grade)
