Create Mini Fire Pits for Your Next Summer Party

Whether you are entertaining inside or out, lighting your party in special ways can help to make it a memorable occasion. I'm always looking for ways to make use of ordinary objects in different ways. Here's what I came up with using things from, (where else?), the dollar store.
I found this set of galvanized metal flower pots on a tray at my favourite dollar store and imagined using them for something other than flowers or as a window sill herb garden.
My idea was to turn them into mini fire pits. All you need add are small river rocks (a lot more than shown here!) and three tea lights or battery-operated tea light candles.
Begin by filling each pot to the brim with the small stones.
Nestle one tea light into the middle of each pot.
And that's it! An easy, inexpensive accent piece for your next summertime party.
You can use these mini fire pits to accent your next summer party, either inside or out. Display them on the tray they come with as a centerpiece or place them at intervals down the length of the table. For outdoor entertaining using cafe-style seating, with small tables for each group of guests, you could create as many of these "fire pits" as you need and place one on each table. Battery-operated tea lights might be a better option for use outdoors.

A great, and simple idea. Lovely. I'll be looking now, for a tray with containers on top. Not at all difficult, especially if you are not a 'crafter'.....

    👍️
