5 ft wide 20 feet long was the kennels run. dog house furthermost from gate, didn't go with concrete, wood chips are much cooler on paws. the trees shaded kennel, the fencing on the kennel was aprox. 5-6 tall. if you cant locate a shady spot a tarp large enough to span the 5 feet wide run could work.
