Unicorn Love - Unicorn Spit
I had a small project in mind and found the perfect table for it.
I found this small table online. I paid $10.
It took a week for me to sand the table, this was due to hand sanding the legs, I found the varnish was a little thick. I used both 80 and 120 grit sand paper to sand it smooth.
I gave the table 2 coats of Annie Sloan Pure White Chalk Paint, sanding with 400 grit sand paper between each coats.
I painted over the white with a coat of Porter's Paints Flamingo Pink. As I sanded the Flamingo Pink Smooth, some of the pure white came through.
I cut a Unicorn Stencil on my Silhouette Cameo and placed it on the top of the table.
I filled in the Stencil with Unicorn Spits, Lemon Kiss, Phoenix Fire, Molly Red Pepper, Dragons Belly, Zia Teal, Pixie Punk Pink, Navajo Jewel, Purple Hill Majesty, White Ning and Blue Thunder. I lightly sprayed the Unicorn Spit with water before placing Cling Wrap over the Stencil and used my hand to move over the cling wrap, blending the Unicorn Spit Colours.
I lifted the plastic and removed the Stencil. I loved the Unicorn! I cut a Stencil with the word DREAM and another with BE FREE. I painted the words with Porter's Paint's Alchemy Liquid Gold Paint.
I removed the Stencil's and when the paint was dry, I placed painters tape around the top of the table and used the same gold paint to paint the border.

I sealed the legs with Annie Sloan Clear Wax.
I wanted to use an Epoxy Resin to seal the top. I placed a plastic sheet on the floor to protect it and covered the legs of the table using painters tape and paper. I sprinkled glitter onto the top of the table before I poured the Epoxy.

I mixed Barnes Epoxy Glass and when it was ready, poured it over the table top, flooding the surface. I used a blow torch to remove small air bubbles within the working time of the epoxy. I left it for 24 Hours.
I loved the finished project
