Hello Suzanne :) So happy to know I won't be the only one with ITT greeting the Halloween beggars this year ... I hope there's more than just a few like last year. There were a few older kids who came back a few times and the third time they came back we had to say "Sorry, but No, you've been here 2ce already" They got angry and insulting but left. Miss the days when it was kids up to teen years but into teen years. Hope y'all have a big bunch of young kids that love your and your daughter's ITT ;)

KattywhampusLOL You don't need to change ITT's hat to a santa hat for Christmas. The bowler hat and sunglasses is what makes ITT easily identifiable. I bought a bowler hat last year that had winter themed embellishments for use on a snowman. Just buy a winter pick or two to add to the hat. You can probably use a safety pin to hold them in place. Adding a scarf would be super cute!

Oh Sharon! I LOVE that idea! I never thought of hat picks --- how wonderful! Thank you so much! :) And I know how to crochet and loom knit so I can make the scarf myself ;) WOOHOOO --- love getting new ideas :)
Have a question about this project?
Couldn't you go to Dollar Tree and get 3 to 4 grass Hula skirts instead of the Raffia table skirts? And maybe an old artists easel tripod could be used if a person has one around or picks one up at a thrift store or garage sale, or an old camera tripod in place of the tomato cage. Not everyone has a tomato cage laying around.
To BushAndBeachLife ... Thank you for the compliment :)
first of all I love this project, I have very strong winds (in my front area even if I put it close to the house) would the faffia skirts hold up to the wind thank you
I had originally tried to think about how to do an ITT putting the spikes into the ground but that leaves a huge round hoop on the top, simply too large to wedge the head into ... the head would just drop to the ground through the two hoops that make the tomato cage. That is why I have the spikes pointing up and the head on them and then I just weight down the cage by placing heavy rocks on the large hoop wire on the bottom. The jack-o-lantern and lights idea sounds very cute. Looking forwrd to see it ;)
