Tips on putting backsplash behind stove and attaching it on Sheetrock. Any different ideas to save on what type of backsplash

I saw metal panels at our Menards in a variety of colors. that is what I would use.
You could take apart a pallet and use the wood as a backsplash. You could paint it any color you choose or stain it. Then be sure to seal it with a good poly so cleaning is easier.
