  • Click on your profile picture in the top right corner. That will open your profile. In your profile is a category titled "my saved projects" hope that helps. I read that spraying with Pam helps, squirrels can't hang on.

  • Some people are successful with a baffle. Might be something to consider.

Hot pepper sauce! Buy the cheapest at the grocery and sprinkle it on the bird food every time you add to the feeder. Birds do not mind, but the sauirrels don't like it.

If it is on a pole, some friends put a toy called slinky on the pole hanging from the bottom of the feeder. The squirrels try to climb the slinky and it just falls. They give up. If the feeder is on a branch, cutting a very large plastic plate or frisbee and putting a cut to put it over the feeder then glue the cut back together, it will prevent them from being able to reach the feeder. It is slick and they fall off to the ground. Be sure the plastic cover is not close to the feeder, it needs to be high above so they cannot get down to it off the plastic cover.

How are they getting on it....from above or below? I've seen a great idea where the home owner put a "slinky" toy hanging down a rope, or on the post of the feeder. The squirrels can't get traction to climb. The video was great entertainment!

If hanging in the tree, really hard as squirrels jump. Try hanging from a pole out of jumping range, then grease the pole or hand a slinky from the bottom of the bird feeder, it provides a lot of entertainment.

  • Add cayenne pepper to bird seed. Birds can't taste it but squirrels can
