I want to convert some heavy duty metal hangers into pants hangers. What kind of material could I use? I’ve added a pic of one of the hangers.

If you know how to chrochet you can cover the wire with yarn.

You can use binder clips to hold the pants

What about the tubular foam pipe insulation used in plumbing? You could cut your length needed, then cut a slit (craft knife) the length and cover the "pants part" of the hanger. It might need some duct tape or something similar to hold it back together. I thought of this because we cut a slit the length of a pool noodle and put it on the inside of the garage door. No more dings on the hatch of SUV!

It would be much easier to slit the insulation & just slide it on the hanger!

Thank for the suggestions. I do crochet, and have a ton of leftover yarn, so I might give that a try
