There are creams to use no docters needed. Lotromin. Clotrimazol. Athlete foot is a fungal infection. You need to apply daily...read and follow directions. If you are a heavy chested lady, and the under boob area is reddened, put some there as well.

There are many good product over the counter that treats athletes foot. Go to your local drug store and ask the pharmacist what is the best. If anyone would know the best product, the pharmacist will.

The first thing I would do is a warm foot soak in a 3:1 ratio of water to apple cider vinegar. Soak for 10-15 minutes and then dry your feet well. Here's a link to some additional information that may be of help. https://wellnessmama.com/156131/athletes-foot/

Yes, athlete's foot is caused by a fungas. Although topical remedies (such as cremes and oinments put on top of the area) can offer some reduction in discomfort, because they address the symptoms only (exterior of the body) they will not be effective in truely getting to the root of the problem, which is inside your body.

You may need a Rx that is taken orally, (usually tablets) which will then be absorbed by your bloodstream, and will be able to reach the internal cause of your exterior symptoms.
