Master bedroom make over,please help to make it look bigger

I didn't see the other picture. This one is very dark. Can you take photos of the whole room from each corner? Try shutting the curtains and use a flash on your camera to prevent the lighting glare. Be sure to turn on all lamps or lights in the room for your pictures.

The room looks very small because, it has such dark colors. Get rid of the curtains, their two dark to dye a light color. I can't see the rest of the room. Paint the walls a sand or peach color, and buy a spring loaded shade, with a energy shield. Levelor shade or any shade company like Blinds to go. I can't see the rug or floor. Try a medium brown (taupe, or fawn).

Get rid of dark curtains... they enclose the room! Something light and airy would be great! Also, you may want to consider painting your headboard a light (cream?) color.

Usually, the rule is "lighten and simplify". Light, airy colors on walls, beds, floors. No carpet-light to medium wood gives a spacious look. Simple, clean lines in furniture. Unclutter all surfaces and keep wall decor minimal. Use shades or blinds on windows instead of drapes, or maybe add lightweight curtains for better privacy. You can take your time and do one thing at a time, according to what you can afford and how much time you can invest, but keep your goal on lightening and de-cluttering.

Also, use that window like a headboard. Look for a bed frame that has a lower or more open headboard, such as a wrought iron one. With no curtains and just a simple, pretty shade behind the bed, you might try a "frame" around the window, something painted, maybe.

I agree, lighten the walls and if you want curtains, hang them from the window frame out (don't block the light from the window). Use sheers or muslin in white or off-white

I would also use a light coloured slipcover on the headboard (same colour as curtains/blinds), and lighten the bedding. You could buy a light coloured patterned bedding that you love, and choose one colour for the walls and another for accessories.

All of the above suggestions are excellent also keep the furniture to a minimal only the basics.
