Dear Hometalk- what can I do about peeling laminated cupboards?

I have lamenated cupboards in kitchen that are peeling off. I would love to remove the laminate and paint them. Have u done this project before? If so, how? Pleeeease help. Thank you. 😉

  Thank you Janet for your reply and kudos to u if u have done this. Lotsa work. I am looking for a way to seal in the particle board and do away with the laminate altogether. Something funky looking.
