    "Locust"? as in Honey Locust trees? Honey Locust trees can grow so fast they bend and collapse under their own weight. Best bet is to prune them to reduce the weight and that will give the rest of the trunk and branches time to get stronger. Once bent, they need to be straightend asap. After a few days, the wood gets hard and it won't bend back.
