dawn dish soap after you've wiped the pan out. just the dish soap no water..yet. clean every crease and the back of the pan. when all is clean, rinse the dish soap off. dry the pan with a towel, then oil every part of it. set it in an oven at 250 degrees. give it a few hours. the oil coat will keep it from getting rusty. its also called seasoning the pan.Helpful Reply -

Place it in a self-cleaning oven while cleaning the oven. Once cooled, re-season using a high heat tolerant oil and warm oven. The best finish is achieved by slow rendering pork fat. Once seasoned, only clean with hot water and a scrubby after each use. Dry on heatHelpful Reply -

IS this new or old? you will still have to clean it like any other pan. once clean, take some olive oil on a paper towel and give it a light coating. works well.Helpful Reply -
