Measure the length of the areas. Then get the measurement of the blocks and how they will be laid. Divide the length of the area by the width of the blocks. That is how many you will need. I always advise and get 10% more for any cuts or OOPS.

take a garden hose and lay out the border.... the hose will simulate the flowing curves if that is the look you are going for.... most home improvement stores sell a measuring device that you roll on the ground... they are rather inexpensive.... get one and roll it along the length of the proposed flower beds.... once you have that measurement... figure out the size of the paver rocks and add 10 to 20 percent.... most large home improvement stores allow returns of leftovers.

You need to know the size of the pavers you are wanting to use. If you know where you want the pavers and how wide a path around the gardens you want, all you have to do is measure the length and width and multiply that, divide that number by the size of the paver using the same, length x width. It may be easier just to measure the length of what you will need by the length of the paver for that part, and just choose a paver that will be the depth that you need in the rows so that you don't need to cut, or make the size according to the size of the paver. When we did our front sitting area, it ended a little off by the house wall and the front steps. We found a paper that fit the extra space and made it an edging on the side of the steps and along the wall. Much easier than trying to cut the pavers with out them breaking.
